Fabiola Obregón

MD, Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist

I am an English-Spanish bilingual board-certified general psychiatrist providing outpatient care for adults ages 18 to 64. My approach to psychiatry is integrative, shaped by a foundation in both medicine and nutrition. I completed my medical training and psychiatry residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, following earlier work as a registered dietitian nutritionist in hospital settings, where I supported patients with complex medical needs and specialized in renal and diabetes diet education consults. Additionally, I practiced at the Rice Clinic in Little Rock, where my role as an outpatient general psychiatrist provided valuable experience in medication management and individual psychotherapy for adults ages 18 and up.

Currently, I provide diagnostic consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy. I practice medication management alongside the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: whole-food nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of harmful substances, and positive social/spiritual connectedness. Therefore, I work best with individuals who are interested in engaging in meaningful, in-depth work, exploring not just symptom relief but the underlying patterns that shape their lives. Amongst the six pillars, nutrition plays a central role in my work. As a former registered dietitian nutritionist, I place a strong emphasis on the connection between what we eat and how we feel and think. Because my approach is informed by acceptance and commitment therapy, I am dedicated to getting to know what my patients value: we first invite the question “What matters to me?” rather than “What’s the matter with me?”. My patients can expect psychiatric treatment that is collaborative, thoughtful, and individually tailored.
